1) What considerations led you to modify/change your original plan when you were in the process of developing your project?

I originally wanted to make it colourful and stand out.  I wanted it to pop but then I decided it would be nice if I blended into my background.  I saw what everyone else was doing and I wanted to do something different.

2) What evidence can be found in your portfolio (Instagram and website) of how the exploration and revision stages changed your original idea?

Through my prosses, my face stayed relatively the same.  I wanted a very painterly style and on my hands but on my face I went for more of a face.  On Instagram, my face and my hands look different, my hands looked like a painting and my face looked more realistic.

3) What emotions do you associate with the colours you picked for your design? How might other peoples associations of colour change the way they feel when looking at your work?

People might think that I look sad and through my colour might look unusual but It wasn't meant to look sad it was meant to be open to interpretation.

4) What criteria would you use when selecting an artwork to present to your class? Would you use different criteria when selecting a work for a community art show? Why? What, if anything, would you do differently when creating your artwork if you knew it was going to be displayed in a public space? Why?

If I were in a smaller group I would take more risks but on the other hand, we are doing the project so I would just dive into it.  I would probably choose a different colour because a big group might judge my colour choices.

5) What are some techniques you used to create the effect of light in a painting?

I used lots of white paint and all of my works are very painterly and not so realistic so I used a lot of white paint and adding high contrasts as well.  Where ever I put white there was either black or dark grey right next to it.
