Reflection Questions:
What new art skills and/or knowledge did you learn from this task?

          I learned how to use diffrent shades of charcoal and how they add diffrent effects and layers to a piece. I never knew that charcoal was like pencils in that way that they have diffrent shades. Now that I know that charcoal has diffrent shades I am more willing to use charcoal.
 

What do you feel you were successful at?

         I feel that I was successful at the detail in Roxie's face. I took the time to do the detail and I really think that it paid off.
 

How could you improve your piece?

        If I could add anything to my piece I would add more detail in the hand and the background. For the background, I would take more time to make it look more like bokeh and less like spots. For the hand, I would use more compressed charcoal to add more detail and make it look more like skin.
